The Artist Lounge centers Queer Black and Brown artists & communities. This is intended to be a comfortable and affirming space for folks to express themselves artistically, whatever that means to them, regardless of artistic level.

Art as activism: Protest art has the power to challenge authority in ways that words cannot. Through symbols and expression, protest art often inspires people to action and builds communities. It can be used to raise awareness about social and political issues and to give a voice to marginalized groups

We may watch a short YT video about how art is used in activism, but please feel free to work on whatever feels right for you; intuition-based creation is encouraged.
